  • Should I call my insurance company start and file a claim?
    This is a tricky question. We suggest calling in an expert to help look at your situation, so you can assess the damage, check your deductible, policy coverages, as well as your financial situation. Our opinion is that if you can afford to pay out of pocket and the damage is not going to exceed your deductible by a fair amount, not filing a claim.
  • Will my insurance company raise our rates for filing a claim?
    This is dependent on the carrier and your policy but in most cases your rates will increase upon renewal after filing a claim. ​
  • What if I feel the amount the insurance company offered is inadequate.  Do I have to accept the amount that they offered?
    No. We will use our experience and expertise to work with your insurance company to reach an offer that is fair and inclusive of all covered damages.
  • My home has been damaged who should I call first?
    If this an emergency please call 911 first. For other situations call R & S Restores and we can help look at your situation and advise the best course of action, and bring in the correct crew(s) to assist you.
  • Are you licensed and insured?
    Yes we are. Feel free to contact us for documentation.
  • Our insurance carrier is suggesting we use their contractor. Do we have to use them?
    No. You are free to work with any company you want.
  • What is covered when my house is damaged?
    Every policy is different. We will work with you and put you in touch with people who can help you better understand what your policy covers.
  • How do you determine the cost of services provided?
    Most insurance companies and contractors who work with them use a program called Xactimate. Xactimate lays out line item prices for most items.
  • How long have you been in business?
